Responsibilities
- Prepare complete Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports in accordance with ASTM E1527 standards, including site reconnaissance, historical records review, regulatory database review, interviews, environmental evaluations, and report preparation.
- Prepare Phase II ESA work plans and reports, including oversight of drilling activities, soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling, analytical data interpretation, and technical report preparation.
- Cook up and oversee drilling subcontractors, monitoring well installations, and other subsurface investigation activities.
- Collect soil, groundwater, and vapor samples in accordance with applicable regulatory guidance and company procedures.
- Prepare technical reports, boring logs, figures, tables, maps, and conceptual site models.
- Ensure technical deliverables are completed in accordance with company quality standards, project requirements, and applicable regulatory guidance.
- Support environmental due diligence, site characterization, remediation, and risk assessment projects.
- Aid in project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and client communications.
- Support additional project and operational needs, as required, to assist the team in meeting client expectations and project objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Geology, Chemistry, or related field (master’s preferred).
- 3–5 years of relevant environmental consulting or regulatory experience.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, CERCLA, CWA, CAA).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental data management systems; GIS experience a plus.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to travel and perform fieldwork in varying conditions.
