As a multi-discipline firm, Isett provides a full range of engineering and consulting services, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, geotechnical, and municipal engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, code enforcement, plan review, construction management, construction materials testing, and grant writing services to clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Our Environmental Consulting department has an opportunity for a full-time Environmental Scientist. This is a full-time field/office position. The ideal candidate will be based out of our Allentown office, but other locations will be considered. The candidate will also be expected to commute to our other offices, as needed. In addition to performing the duties listed below, the candidate must be capable of independent work, be able to read topographic maps, site plans, and aerial photographs, and have strong writing skills. This position will require you to work independently and as part of a team, so we need very good communicators who are able to multi-task and work well with others. Therefore, the desire and motivation to contribute within the firm as needs/opportunities arise is an important attribute.

Responsibilities

  • Fieldwork in wetlands.
  • Desktop review of publicly available data for wetland determinations.
  • Perform soil profile evaluations.
