Environmental Sample Courier

About the role

Our Dayton, NJ laboratory is looking for an Environmental Sample Courier to join their team. This position is responsible for the pickup and delivery of samples and sampling kits to and from SGS clients throughout the state of New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Follow a pre‑defined route to pick up samples from clients and deliver them to SGS labs.
• Establish and maintain good relations with SGS customers/clients by providing courteous, efficient, and professional pick‑up service of samples and delivery of sampling supplies.
• Complete log sheet and obtain customer signature for chain of custody and billing purposes.
• Take the temperatures of the samples upon receipt.
• Maintain company vehicle in good order and clean condition.
• Maintain a safe and satisfactory driving record and complete SGS Defensive Driver training courses as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED (required).
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions safely, accurately, and timely (required).
• Map reading skills (required).
• Personable with ability to establish good relationships with clients (required).
• Ability to work well with others and independently (required).
• Flexible work hours may be required from time to time (required).
• Travel to other SGS locations or client locations (required).
• Compliance with SGS Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies (required).
• Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull upwards of 50 lb on a frequent basis (required).

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Pay

The expected hourly range for this position is $22 – $24, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
