About the role

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to join our Environmental business line in Northern California. This position involves overseeing project performance, leading technical discussions, and interfacing with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manages projects, directs data analysis and reporting for specific environmental project tasks, and guides site remediation strategies to bring sites to closure.
  • Collaborates and participates in technical discussions with project team members.
  • Adheres to AECOM’s Quality Management System (QMS) in project execution.
  • Interacts with various state agencies to develop favorable risk-based remediation goals.
  • Maintains communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and internal project teams.
  • Develops and formulates solutions to client problems and issues.
  • Participates in project reviews of major program/project dashboards/deep dives to identify issues and improve performance.
  • Embraces workflow optimization and adoption of digital tools.
  • Organizes and manages the transition of global resources into project delivery and manages the change associated with this transition.
  • Organically grows current portfolios through exceptional project delivery and client relationships.
  • Drives business performance and the attainment and exceedance of internal KPIs.
  • Aids Program Manager in maintaining departmental compliance with Business Line Pricing guidance and DOA approval framework.
  • Supports proposal development to support business growth.
  • Acts as a point of escalation for project issues and makes recommendations to improve performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • (4) four years of relevant work experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Valid Driver's License, subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening as well as background check.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency is required.
  • Preferred: 10+ years overall professional experience, PG or PE, verifiable experience in prominent roles performing and managing investigation/remediation of chemical / industrial / refining sites, previous leadership and/or management experience, ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal, Master's Degree in Geology, Engineering, Science or related field, excellent client management skills, detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills, superior communication skills (writing, editing, and reporting), experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery, experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders, strong project management skills and a strategic perspective, excellent business analytics and organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong understanding and has led professional teams in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $110000 to $130000 per year.
