Environmental Project Manager (Geologist, Scientist, Engineer)

With minimal direction and supervision, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management ownership combined with hands-on experience in environmental site investigations, sampling, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Managing assigned projects, including budget tracking, invoice approval, and team management.
• Supervising the collection of samples for analysis while accurately following identified field sampling plans and Cameron-Cole guidelines and procedures.
• Reviewing lab analytical reports for accuracy and adherence to QAQC regulations.
• Designing and performing site investigations compliant with federal and state regulations.
• Preparing environmental reports and presentations, including tables, charts, and graphs.
• Participating in the proposal and budget creation process.
• Supervising junior staff during field activities and project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in environmental assessment, site investigations, or remediation.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Soil and groundwater sampling
  • Monitoring well installation oversight
  • Subsurface investigations
  • Environmental sample collection and field documentation
• Phase I and Phase II ESA experience preferred.
• Familiarity with remediation technologies, site characterization, and regulatory compliance a plus.
• HAZWOPER certification and valid driver’s license required.

This role is a full-time, exempt position from our Pensacola office and reports to the Principal Geologist.

Pay

$70,000 – $85,000 annually

  • Walk over varied terrain and in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, while carrying equipment and materials.
  • Bend, kneel, stand for extended periods.
  • Lift at least 15 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive motions using hand tools or field instruments.
  • Walk or hike several miles per day as required by project conditions.
