Qualifications (Must Have)

  • A Bachelor of Science or Arts in environmental, urban, or regional planning, natural resource science, environmental science, biology, or other related degree.
  • Working knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analysis, regulations, and documentation.
  • A minimum of six years of direct experience developing, managing, and delivering CEQA and/or NEPA documents including ensuring legal adequacy, clear readability, and top-quality deliverables.
  • Proven leadership and problem-solving skills in guiding teams through CEQA/NEPA processes.
  • Experience working with regulatory and planning agencies to move projects through environmental review efficiently.
  • Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.

Qualifications (Nice To Have)

  • A master’s degree in environmental, urban, or regional planning, natural resource science, environmental science, biology, or other related degree.
  • Experience in private consulting.
  • Experience executing stakeholder and community engagement.
  • Strong business development skills, including successfully selling environmental planning services while actively contributing to project execution.
  • Experience with the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) code of ordinances, environmental review process, and regulatory permitting.
  • Experience with 24 CRF Part 58 reviews.
  • Experience with transportation planning (specifically Caltrans planning processes) and/or land use planning.

Pay

Salary Range is $90,000 to $135,000 annually, DOE.

This flexible position will accommodate an office or hybrid work schedule.

Location

The position will be based out of our Sacramento or Bay Area office locations.
