Responsibilities
- Be at the table in the early client relationship and project pursuit process, including active participation in proposal creation, presentations, and negotiation.
- Take ownership of important project details like budget, effective and as-sold multipliers, terms of agreement, scope changes, billing process, and settlements, and keep everyone on schedule and organized for meetings and follow-ups.
- Lead and delegate team members' workload balance and, when necessary, interface with senior management to modify project procedures when deviations are necessary.
- Generate project goals that match client needs, budget considerations, and schedule requirements, and flag changes proactively to avoid contractual delivery conflicts.
- Maintain up-to-date project file and reporting accuracy while monitoring quality, design, and technology standards consistently with client requirements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related science or engineering degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Master’s degree a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years related experience is required, including at least 2 years of project management experience in soil and groundwater remediation, remedial alternatives evaluations, and multimedia site investigations. 8 years of related experience is preferred.
- Must have OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual 8-hour refresher, as applicable.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) is strongly preferred.
- Be knowledgeable in NH petroleum storage tank and contaminated site management regulations (Env-Or 300, 400, and 600), CERCLA or RCRA hazardous waste site investigation and remediation, remedial implementation, and oversight, SAPs/SASPs/QAPPs and other planning documents, and environmental compliance.
- Experience in multimedia investigation and remediation, remedial alternatives evaluations, and remedial action implementation.
- Proficiency in environmental impact assessments, feasibility studies, and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of Deltek accounting/enterprise software and other software environments such as GIS and graphics generation is beneficial.
Brownfields Practice Leader
- Working knowledge of contract and client management experience overseeing Brownfields Grant Program implementation.
- Competence in the understanding and application of ASTM E1527-21 Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments Area Wide Planning, Assessment of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCAs).
- Various funding sources, grant cycles, and application requirements.
- State level and EPA Programs.
- Community Engagement and Reuse Planning.
- Site inventory, selection, and program eligibility requirements.
- Data entry and reporting via the Assessment, Cleanup and Redevelopment Exchange System (ACRES) database.
- Brownfield experience outside of New Hampshire is applicable and can be considered for this role/position.
