Project Manager role focused on delivering personalized service and owning every job for assigned accounts, ensuring high client satisfaction. Strict adherence to corporate policies, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance is required.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in identifying and developing prospective clients.
- Identify and pursue up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with assigned client locations.
- Conduct site walks to develop work scopes, job estimates, and proposals.
- Ensure job delivery meets required levels of safety, quality, and profitability.
- Confirm proper and relevant contractual terms are in place before initiating work.
- Develop and communicate work orders with detailed job scope, time budget, safety requirements, subcontract or material needs, and client contract specifications.
- Collaborate with Logistics Managers to ensure proper scheduling and resource allocation.
- Monitor daily project progress through regular communication with assigned foremen/supervisors.
- Produce timely and accurate invoices and monitor collections for owned jobs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the company’s core competencies (Emergency Response, Industrial & Marine Services, Facility Decontamination, and Site Remediation).
- Broad understanding of all other company core competencies.
- Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical, and persuasive skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- Multi-task oriented with strong supervisory, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze job costs, profit, and loss.
- Broad understanding of equipment capabilities and job requirements, with expertise in at least two core competencies.
- Ability to serve as an outside representative of the company.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel overnight as needed.
- Minimum of five years of industry-related supervisory or account management experience.
- Must complete continuing education in occupational safety and environmental regulations as outlined by the MER employee development program.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and substance screening, including employment verifications, criminal search, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search, with ongoing compliance checks.
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree highly desirable.

Pay
Hiring range for the Project Manager position in Newtown, CT: $107,500/year - $117,500/year. The actual salary offered will be determined based on relevant skills and experience.
