Environmental Project Manager
About the role
Your impact When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We’re looking for a Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) in Connecticut to work on exciting site investigation and remediation projects for government and private-sector clients in the Northeastern U.S. and elsewhere, as well as support major regional infrastructure and redevelopment projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract.
- Manage multiple projects and teams in a dynamic environment to meet schedule demands.
- Lead and support safety planning, chartering and implementation in the field.
- Be a strong advocate of Jacobs safety and quality culture.
- Coordinate the planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety and organization of contractors, subcontractors, and internal technical and support staff.
- Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance.
- Identify schedule and cost variances and develop and implement recommendations for corrective action.
- Communication and conflict management with internal project teams, other contractors, and client teams.
Requirements
- A candidate who is a practicing Connecticut LEP.
- Demonstrated prior experience in managing environmental projects for private or government clients with a strong track record that includes planning, investigation, remediation, and monitoring of impaired properties under state and federal programs.
- Experience in remediation design and construction oversight considered a plus.
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification and 8-hour refreshers up to date.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or a closely related field.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $99,000.00 to $145,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
