Environmental Project Manager
About the role
The Environmental Project Manager supports the Environmental department in all services including Phase I/II ESAs, asbestos surveys, lead-based paint surveys, UST/LUST assessments, site remediation, soil/groundwater sampling, and more. This position involves performing fieldwork, preparing technical reports and proposals, and communicating with clients and regulators.
Responsibilities
- Perform environmental services including Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs)
- Perform soil and groundwater sampling
- Absorb and document assessment and remediation field observations
- Assist with industrial hygiene services such as asbestos, indoor air quality, and lead surveys
- Prepare technical proposals and reports
- Communicate with clients and regulators to keep projects moving and on schedule
- Make decisions and manage projects during all phases
- Control and manage project budgets and build solid client relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field
- At least 2 years of proven technical environmental consulting experience, preferably with Phase I ESAs and/or Asbestos Inspection
- Current, valid Texas Asbestos License
- Ability to perform tasks in varying field/office conditions
- Computer literacy and ability to operate relevant field/office equipment
- Strong technical proposal and report writing abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record
Qualifications
- BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
