About the role

You’ll join a diverse team within our new manufacturing division for AWS supporting hardware, software, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, plant managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards of production for our datacenters and our customers. Responsibilities

  • Performing due diligence and permitting for new manufacturing faculties.

  • Developing new compliance programs for first of a kind operational processes.

  • Managing and overseeing compliance with environmental regulations and Amazon policy;

  • Driving an environmentally responsible culture within the organization;

  • Ensuring work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with Amazon standards;

  • Developing environmental metrics to measure, monitor and forecast performance;

  • Conducting thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement;

  • Prioritizing and managing multiple technically complex assignments concurrently;

  • Representing Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company;

  • Building collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately;

  • Aiding in time-critical report submission to various governmental agencies;

  • Completing thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and developing appropriate corrective action.

Requirements

Broad knowledge of US environmental regulations

5+ years of environmental, regulatory and risk management experience

Qualifications

  • Experience in environmental compliance and permitting, waste management, contractual, regulatory, and liability assessments, environmental permit evaluations and applications, EIAs and water discharge requirements

  • BA/BS degree in biology, environmental science, chemistry, chemical or environmental engineering, or related field of study

  • Experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs including regulated waste, water, and air regulations in accordance with applicable laws

  • Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization

  • Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

  • Experience leading change in multiple site environments and influencing those that are not direct reports or within your organization

  • Experience with due diligence and permitting for manufacturing faculties

  • Experience successfully implementing environmental systems and compliance programs in a manufacturing settings

Skills

Pay

$127,100.00 - $171,900.00 USD annually
