Environmental Professional - Project Manager

About the Role
The Environmental Professional - Project Manager is responsible for project management, leadership, profitability, and client management. This is a leadership position that includes mentoring and developing staff while maintaining presence and leadership throughout the regions where we do business through involvement in civic, professional, and business organizations.
Responsibilities
- Project management in the areas of due diligence, site remediation, regulatory compliance, and permitting
- Manage team assignments and balance workload in a deadline-driven environment
- Business development and professional networking
- Quality control and permitting of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
- Hands-on field supervision and subcontractor coordination
- Prepare technical proposals
- Financial management of projects, including accounts receivable
- Budgeting and scheduling of projects
- Client management and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Mentor and develop staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in Site Remediation (due diligence, site and remedial investigation, remediation design and implementation, regulatory compliance, and permitting experience)
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER training
- Valid driver’s license
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Bluebeam
- Strong field experience and knowledge
Qualifications
- NJDEP Subsurface Evaluator/Closure Certification (a plus)
- Professional Geologist (a plus)
- Knowledge of New Jersey LSRP support services (i.e., forms, reports, web-portal, deadlines)
- Remediation design and implementation services (i.e., VIMS, In-Situ, Ex-Situ, Excavation)
- Soil characterization and waste management
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals
- Proficient in the use of available websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes
- Construction oversight experience for site work
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Superior organizational and delegation ability
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
- Client management experience
