Environmental Manager

About the role

This position will be responsible for ensuring that all federal, state and local environmental regulations, rules, permits and ordinances pertaining to environmental regulations and compliance are managed to maintain Muncie smelting facility compliance with air, land and water media. In addition to providing and maintaining support to production and administrative personnel, the Environmental Manager will monitor Federal and State regulations to ensure Company compliance with environmental policies. The Environmental Manager will work with Plant Manager to be proactive in developing and implementing programs, policies, work instructions and procedures that insure protection of all employees and the community’s health and safety as well as protection and preservation of the environment. Function as integral part of Senior Plant Management Team.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining compliance with all federal, state and local environmental regulations, rules, permits and ordinances pertaining to environmental regulations and compliance to maintain facility compliance with air, land and water media.
• Maintaining all environmental documentation, records, logs, and other required records keeping requirements and act as liaison; includes preparation of all required reports.
• Interacting closely with governmental agencies to assure compliance and any process changes or addition of new processes to the facility.
• Main
