Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist II

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS programs
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations
• Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility

Key Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Science discipline, required
• Preferred CHMM, CSP, CIH
• Experience maintaining and managing day-to-day health, safety, emergency response, and environmental compliance and security activities
• Previous experience in Environmental, safety, Emergency Response and Haz-Mat
• Previous experience implementing policies and procedures that are protective of the environment, personnel, equipment and business interests, including the leading of culture change required to embrace those policy and procedure changes
• Experience evaluating, providing advice and implementing solutions due to complexities of health, safety, training and industrial hygiene issues
• Experience with radioactivity and formal OSHA & Safety training
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to perform accurate calculations, maintain precise records, and effectively interpret and communicate detailed information both verbally and in writing
• Collaborative and adaptable team player, able to follow instructions, exercise sound judgement in complex situations, and willing to undertake domestic travel (approximately 10%) as required
