Minimum Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in environmental health & safety
- Degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or related field
- Strong critical thinking and technical writing skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to groups
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct health & safety audits/reviews at environmental project sites
- Prepare site-specific Health & Safety Plans (HASPs)
- Develop Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms
- Investigate incidents/near-misses and manage reporting & follow-up
- Recommend processes and procedures to reduce workplace hazards
- Review and improve safety standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Effectively train staff in company safety programs and safe work practices
- Oversee subcontractor onboarding and third-party H&S reporting
