Responsibilities
- Provide site-level leadership across a multi-site scope with oversight of 3 direct reports across 3 locations, including laboratory environments.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and management systems from concept through full execution.
- Drive a proactive safety culture where safety is embedded as a core organizational value across site operations.
- Ensure full compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and local regulatory requirements, as well as internal company standards.
- Own Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, ensuring effective implementation, sustainability, and continuous enhancement.
- Lead incident investigations, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence.
- Establish, track, and report key EHS metrics to drive performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee risk assessments, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Industrial Hygiene (IH) monitoring, ergonomic assessments, and workplace inspections.
- Partner cross-functionally (Operations, Engineering, Quality) to ensure EHS requirements are integrated into new products, processes, and capital projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental compliance programs.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including management and development of direct reports.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Experience developing, implementing, and improving EHS programs end-to-end (from design through execution and sustainability).
- Ability to apply technical EHS knowledge to drive measurable business and safety results.
