About the Role

Astro Pak is seeking an Environmental, Health, Safety and Regulatory Field Specialist to support our Field Operations team. This role involves visiting active work sites, identifying hazards, assessing safety practices, supporting incident investigations, and helping teams strengthen their day-to-day approach to safety. The position requires regional travel up to 80% of the time and is a strong fit for someone with 1–3 years of relevant experience who can build trust with technicians and operations leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct job walks, inspections, and scheduled quality, environmental, health and safety (QEHS) assessments at customer sites and company facilities.
  • Support site-specific safety plans, identify program gaps, and help operations teams implement practical improvements.
  • Assist in incident investigations by gathering information, facilitating root cause discussions, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Communicate findings and advise managers on ways to meet operational needs while protecting employees and visitors.
  • Support safety training sessions, communications, and awareness initiatives that connect requirements to employee tasks.
  • Coordinate with customer representatives, company personnel, and regulatory agencies; support workers’ compensation matters as needed.
  • Document assessments, findings, and corrective actions; participate in performance meetings; and maintain required reports and records.
  • Help communicate and implement applicable EHS requirements across multiple work locations.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience supporting quality, environmental, health, safety, or regulatory programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Health Physics, Fire Prevention, or a related scientific field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience implementing or supporting safety programs across multiple sites or locations.
  • Ability to recognize concerns, explain recommendations clearly, and influence action without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through in managing site visits, documentation, and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Class C driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to meet applicable requirements under U.S. export control laws.

Qualifications

  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting data center safety requirements.
  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.

What To Expect On-Site

Work in field environments that may be dusty or noisy. Site visits involve standing, walking, climbing, balancing, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The role requires observing work areas, recognizing visual safety indicators, and judging distances and spatial relationships, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Benefits

  • Highly employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Competitive retirement savings and 401k plans.
  • Flexible spending, family leave, training, and paid time off.
