Location: Valley, NE Facility (onsite) Brief Summary Of The Position The EHS Specialist supports Valmont’s environmental, health, and safety strategy by driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing site-level EHS programs, and aligning local activities with enterprise-wide EHS goals. This role helps identify and reduce safety risks, supports compliance efforts, leads EHS initiatives and investigations, and partners with employees and leadership to promote a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities Support and continuously improve EHS programs, standards, and strategic initiatives.Partner with site and regional leadership to implement EHS goals and best practices.Manage and maintain EHS data, including incidents, claims, audits, and permits.Assist with risk assessments, hazard identification, and corrective actions.Facilitate safety committees and employee engagement in EHS initiatives.Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.Collect environmental data and assist with regulatory reporting and permit requirements.Coordinate EHS training, emergency preparedness, and business continuity efforts.Serve as a liaison between operations, HR, risk management, and EHS leadership.Complete the Valmont EHS Specialist curriculum within three months of hire. Required Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of EHS-related experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience.Experience implementing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs.Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.Ability to support teams in identifying, managing, and reducing EHS risks. Preferred Qualifications Experience in heavy manufacturing environments.Knowledge of OSHA VPP, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.Experience with enterprise-wide EHS database systems.Background working within multinational organizations and progressive EHS programs.
