About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Site EHS Manager to perform EHS Risk Assessment and to define appropriate measures to control risks
  • Preparing, implementing and maintaining emergency plans
  • Delivering support and advice to site personnel to prevent injury, damage to plant and equipment, fire, environmental pollution
  • Responding to violations to regulations and Alstom Standards
  • Developing, deploying, and maintaining local procedures and tools and make sure they are aligned with Alstom Standards and international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO45001)
  • Ensuring that Alstom EHS standards and tools (Alstom Zero Deviation Plan (AZDP), Transport Operational Performance in Environment (TOPE), Transport Key processes) are deployed at Site level
  • Performing EHS legal compliance checks for specific requirements
  • Coaching employees to carry out the work in safe & environment-friendly mode
  • Leading site EHS training programs by providing EHS inductions and ensuring Toolbox meetings are organized
  • Capturing, reporting, recording, investigating and analyzing accidents/incidents in order to implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Preparing monthly EHS reports
  • Carrying out inspections of work areas and carrying out EHS audits and report any discrepancy

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree is required (Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or Engineering is preferred)
  • At least 2 years of professional experience related to Environmental Health and Safety
  • Experience in conducting EHS audits and inspections

Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health and Safety Certification
  • Good knowledge and understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001
  • Knowledge of local legal EHS requirements
  • Mechanical, Construction, Rail or Transportation experience
