Responsibilities
- Supporting the Site EHS Manager to perform EHS Risk Assessment and to define appropriate measures to control risks
- Preparing, implementing and maintaining emergency plans
- Delivering support and advice to site personnel to prevent injury, damage to plant and equipment, fire, environmental pollution
- Responding to violations to regulations and Alstom Standards
- Developing, deploying, and maintaining local procedures and tools and make sure they are aligned with Alstom Standards and international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO45001)
- Ensuring that Alstom EHS standards and tools (Alstom Zero Deviation Plan (AZDP), Transport Operational Performance in Environment (TOPE), Transport Key processes) are deployed at Site level
- Performing EHS legal compliance checks for specific requirements
- Coaching employees to carry out the work in safe & environment-friendly mode
- Leading site EHS training programs by providing EHS inductions and ensuring Toolbox meetings are organized
- Capturing, reporting, recording, investigating and analyzing accidents/incidents in order to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Preparing monthly EHS reports
- Carrying out inspections of work areas and carrying out EHS audits and report any discrepancy
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree is required (Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or Engineering is preferred)
- At least 2 years of professional experience related to Environmental Health and Safety
- Experience in conducting EHS audits and inspections
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Health and Safety Certification
- Good knowledge and understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001
- Knowledge of local legal EHS requirements
- Mechanical, Construction, Rail or Transportation experience
