Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor

The Environmental, Health and Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in a medium-complexity operation involving highly hazardous processes. Key duties include conducting incident investigations, preparing and executing audits, and promoting a strong safety culture through training and education. They lead emergency planning, identify risks and hazards, and implement control programs to mitigate safety and environmental risks. The role involves personnel management, including hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions, with hands-on involvement in team activities. Qualifications** include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, typically 3+ years of relevant work, and ideally supervisory experience and bilingual skills (Spanish). Strong knowledge of food safety standards, scientific and mathematical expertise, and the ability to optimize processes are preferred.
