Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Role: EHS Specialist, responsible for enhancing safety and environmental practices across global relief, development, and peacebuilding initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design and implement EHS policies to ensure safety and environmental compliance.Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards.Ensure adherence to OSHA and environmental regulations.Provide training to staff and volunteers on safety and environmental protocols.Investigate incidents and support emergency preparedness efforts.Promote safe, healthy workplaces aligned with values of peace, justice, and responsible stewardship. Qualifications And Skills Experience in developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures.Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.Strong training and communication skills.Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.Experience with incident investigation and emergency response planning.Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural, faith-driven environment.
