Responsibilities

  • Conduct soil, groundwater, and subsurface sampling activities to support environmental site assessments, remediation efforts, and regulatory compliance projects
  • Log soil borings and monitor well installations while documenting lithology and field observations with accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain organized field notes, photographic records, and data logs that meet project, client, and regulatory expectations
  • Compile, review, and interpret environmental data to support technical reports, including conclusions and practical recommendations for clients
  • Cook up sample handling and laboratory submittals, including preparation of chain-of-custody documentation and tracking of analytical results
  • Travel to project sites and collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors while actively following and promoting Atlas safety standards in all work activities

Requirements

  • 1+ year of environmental consulting experience with hands-on fieldwork, sampling, and technical documentation
  • Working knowledge of environmental site investigation, remediation practices, and/or regulatory programs such as TCEQ (TRRP, PST, or similar)
  • Experience supporting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, including data collection and report preparation
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to clearly document findings, organize data, and communicate recommendations
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple field and office tasks while maintaining accuracy and timelines
  • A safety-first mindset, willingness to travel regularly (50–70%), and the ability to work both independently in the field and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
