About the role
We’re looking for a mid-level Geologist to continue their career at Jacobs—where we’ll empower you to learn and grow in the delivery of environmental site characterization and remediation projects for government and global private-sector clients. Based in Texas, you’ll collaborate with scientists, engineers, subject-matter experts, and project managers on exciting projects, learning from others and sharing your knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Design, perform, or oversee soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and surface water investigations.
- Build teams of colleagues and subcontractors.
- Coordinate and manage fieldwork logistics.
- Analyze and interpret data.
- Write technical reports.
- Participate in meetings with clients and regulators.
- Prioritize safety and maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in geology or a closely related field.
- Professional experience delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects, including fieldwork methodology/procedures and assessment/evaluation of data for various environmental media.
- Experience leading teams toward a common goal.
- 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in geology or a closely related field (preferred).
- Professional registration (e.g., Professional Geologist) or intent to obtain and maintain professional certification.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with coworkers, contractors, and clients.
- Strong attention to detail when conducting fieldwork and evaluating data.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $66,300.00 to $95,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
