Essential Responsibilities

  • Provides overall project support to the operations teams (landfill, recycling, composting, and processing facilities) to envision, design, review, and implement projects.
  • Identifies and assigns project roles and ensures comprehensive cooperation of the various departments.
  • Captures and tracks project budgets, especially as they relate to vendor contracts, scopes, and pricing.
  • Develops and manages project timelines.
  • Oversees and provides support to general contractors, engineers, architects, and equipment vendors.
  • Oversees project specific environmental permitting, building permitting, and final project signoffs.
  • Aligns operational needs and various improvement projects as they relate to the operations group, facilities, and equipment.
  • Communicates project updates, both verbal and written to the Recology management team.
  • Collaborates with government officials to coordinate approvals and communicate progress.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years related experience with project management, construction, equipment installation, environmental permitting and regulations related to air, water, solid waste, and material recovery/recycling.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • California state and local project permitting and environmental regulations.
  • Project management strategies, tracking and monitoring.
  • Environmental due diligence, investigations and research.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
