Essential Responsibilities
- Provides overall project support to the operations teams (landfill, recycling, composting, and processing facilities) to envision, design, review, and implement projects.
- Identifies and assigns project roles and ensures comprehensive cooperation of the various departments.
- Captures and tracks project budgets, especially as they relate to vendor contracts, scopes, and pricing.
- Develops and manages project timelines.
- Oversees and provides support to general contractors, engineers, architects, and equipment vendors.
- Oversees project specific environmental permitting, building permitting, and final project signoffs.
- Aligns operational needs and various improvement projects as they relate to the operations group, facilities, and equipment.
- Communicates project updates, both verbal and written to the Recology management team.
- Collaborates with government officials to coordinate approvals and communicate progress.
Qualifications
- 5+ years related experience with project management, construction, equipment installation, environmental permitting and regulations related to air, water, solid waste, and material recovery/recycling.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree.
- California state and local project permitting and environmental regulations.
- Project management strategies, tracking and monitoring.
- Environmental due diligence, investigations and research.
- Valid Driver's License required.
