About the role
GZA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager with an aspiring LSRP license or a current LSRP license to support the firm's growing environmental consulting practice in Somerset, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Manage technically and financially successful projects
- Take projects through the remediation process (investigation through remediation) following the NJDEP Technical Requirements for Site Remediation
- Meet client-driven deadlines through management of teams and project schedules
- Lead teams of professionals performing environmental assessments and investigations, compiling and interpreting data, creating conceptual site models, writing reports, screening, selecting remedial technologies, and implementing and monitoring applied remedial methods
- Have awareness of risk for GZA and our clients
- Review and interpret various types of laboratory data
- Review technical analyses/calculations associated with the data collected
- Author clearly written technical reports including data analysis, summaries, and conclusions, relative to various environmental regulations
- Communicate proactively, effectively, and efficiently with team members
- Prepare Site-specific health & safety plans and ensure teams work safely
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in geology, earth/environmental science, or related field required
- Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) license in good standing, or be on-track to obtain the LSRP license
- 5 to 15 years of experience conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments under ASTM-1527-21, environmental investigations and remediation under using the NJDEP Tech Regs, SRRA, and NJDEP/LSRP Guidance
- Strong oral and written communication skills, problem solving, and organizational skills
- A valid driver’s license in good standing
- OSHA 40Hr Hazwoper Certification

Pay
The base salary for this position may range between $86,000.00 to $125,000.00. The actual base salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including location, candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.
