Environmental Engineer for Air Quality
Summary of Work
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and implementing rules and regulations related to the air quality program.
- Drafting and processing air pollution control permits and assisting with associated air dispersion modeling.
- Evaluating air pollution control reports from a variety of air pollution sources.
- Conducting inspections on a variety of air pollution sources.
- Assisting in state implementation planning and development.
- Providing training and guidance to air quality permit staff.
- Communicating with the public, regulated community, state and federal agencies, and others regarding air pollution issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
- One year of related experience for Environmental Engineer II, or a master’s degree may substitute for one year of work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field for Environmental Engineer I.
- Experience in air quality, environmental systems or controls, or air quality regulatory experience is helpful but not required.
