Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental due diligence on greenfield and brownfield sites, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs, regulatory and permitting evaluations, and natural, biological, cultural resource, and noise assessments.
  • Owning the threatened and endangered species (T&E) scope: commission biological surveys and habitat assessments, run ESA Section 7 and Section 10 consultations with USFWS and NMFS, and deliver any required Biological Assessments, Habitat Conservation Plans, or incidental take coverage.
  • Build and execute site-specific permitting strategies across multiple states, delivering CWA 404, NPDES, groundwater, and wastewater approvals on the build’s timeline.
  • Track permitting and compliance metrics across the portfolio to ensure environmental risk is identified and mitigated proactively.

  • Ran Phase I and Phase II ESAs on both greenfield and brownfield sites, making informed decisions on project feasibility based on risk assessment.
  • Carried out threatened and endangered species work on real projects, including scoping biological surveys, running ESA Section 7 or Section 10 consultations, and resolving listed-species and critical-habitat constraints.
  • Owed environmental permitting or due diligence projects end-to-end, managing the entire process from start to finish.
  • Negotiated directly with regulatory agencies and consultants to secure permits on timelines that exceed industry standards.
  • Communicated complex permitting risks clearly to stakeholders, turning them into actionable steps.
  • Managed and supported community and public interactions to secure project approvals.

Qualifications

  • PE license or active pursuit.
  • Data center or critical infrastructure environmental work experience.
  • Permitting across multiple US states, particularly North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Florida.
