Environmental Engineer

Rogers Group is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Environmental Engineer to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN.
Responsibilities
- Aid with site compliance and permitting regarding air, water, mining, and other applicable regulations.
- Support the preparation and submission of modification and renewal applications for water, air, mining, and other applicable permits.
- Participate in site audits for quarries, asphalt plants, shops, and construction sites.
- Collect samples to support environmental compliance.
- Enter environmental data, prepare reports, and analyze data in support of operations.
- Contribute to project management and coordination efforts.
- Aid in preparing, presenting, and training employees on necessary records and reports required to be maintained on site.
- Collaborate with municipal and State Agencies under the guidance of senior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- EIT (Engineer-In-Training) certification preferred.
- Basic understanding of Federal and State Mining, Water, and Air Regulations.
- Familiarity with 401 and 404 permitting processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of erosion and sedimentation processes and practices.
- Experience with AutoCAD software is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Qualifications
