Environmental Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from planning and permitting through design, construction, and closeout.
• Manage municipal solid waste, environmental compliance, and related infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and oversee engineering reports, permit applications, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Cook with TCEQ, NMED, ODEQ, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Develop grading, drainage, stormwater, erosion control, and site development designs.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations.
• Review work prepared by engineering staff and provide technical direction.
• Mentor EITs and junior engineers.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and seal engineering documents where appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with team members to develop proposals, scopes, and fees.
• Collaborate with CADD technicians and EITs to develop Construction Drawings and Specifications.
• Have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Have Professional Engineer registration in Texas, New Mexico, or Oklahoma.
• Able to obtain and maintain registration in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive engineering experience; 7+ years preferred.
• Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing projects and client relationships.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay

The position is paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.

Schedule

This is a full-time position.
