About the role

Coordinate with business partners for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) concerns regarding facilities and employee practices. This role involves responsibility for engineering and operations safety, organizing and maintaining EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations, and managing relationships across specialized departments to meet EH&S regulations and client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support and implement safety programs under the direction of the Safety Manager, including contractor safety, confined spaces, Job Hazard Assessment, electrical safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), fall protection, machine guarding, powered industrial vehicles, cranes/hoists, training, fire & life safety, ergonomics, and others as assigned.
  • Monitor, administer, evaluate, and coordinate company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Develop and advise on employee workplace safety programs (Testing, Manufacturing, etc.).
  • Coordinate confirmation of policies and programs in accordance with industry and government regulations.
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve and maintain consistency in health and safety program implementation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections for compliance with EH&S programs.
  • Serve as the EHS representative for assigned buildings and functional safety councils.
  • Conduct injury investigations, root cause analysis, develop corrective actions, and track them to completion.
  • Lead projects to promote the health and safety of client employees and contractors.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide instructor-led training on various safety topics.
  • Support other site EH&S programs (Engineering, Operations, Ergonomics).
  • Support the site to meet EH&S requirements for internal and external audits, including ADOSH VPP and other internal company assessments.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.
  • Position requires the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech.

Qualifications

You Must Have:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 2 years of experience.
  • 3 years of applicable experience with a focus on safety.

We Prefer:

  • Previous experience working in a government contractor environment.
  • Experience applying regulatory EH&S requirements.
  • Experience accurately diagnosing general and complex EH&S issues related to client operations, determining appropriate or practical controls, and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Experience working with databases and other information-gathering systems.
  • Active Secret level or higher security clearance.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP).
