Pick up and transport waste
- Transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests & work orders while adhering to your assigned route.
- Classify, segregate and inventory waste containers in storage for shipment.
Training, Compliance and Safety Tasks
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicle.
- Report all losses, spills, accidents, leaking containers, waste diversion and safety violations to supervisor immediately.
Customer Contact
- Professional contact with all levels of Customers daily in delivering, promoting, and collecting waste containers.
- Regular contact with many different levels of personnel.
Additional Duties
- Perform lab pack operations.
- Operate a Hand Truck, Drum Dolly, Pallet Jack & Forklift.
- Maintain the basic functionality & cleanliness of assigned company vehicle & equipment.
- Operate electronic routing system with any deviations escalated to Management.
Qualifications
- Basic Requirements: High school diploma or GED, Valid CDL Class B license, Hazmat and Tanker endorsement required.
- Preferred Requirements: Three or more years of related industry experience, Ability to operate a CMV and possession of a valid driver’s license free of moving violations and accidents, Knowledge of facility permitting, DOT packaging requirements and OSHA Regulations, Driver E-Log Experience, Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, Knowledge of waste routing and disposal of Hazardous Materials, 40hr Hazwoper Certificate.
