Job Summary
Veolia has acquired Clean Earth, and this role is being managed in partnership with the Clean Earth talent acquisition team. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for packaging, transporting, and disposing of waste materials while maintaining records with accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Packaging and transporting waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Completing required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
- Loading and securing materials and waste at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
- Preparing and loading trucks with necessary supplies.
- Providing high-level customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
- Performing a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
- Planning schedules/routes based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g., manifests, route sheets, etc.)
- Following routing software route schedules.
- Following all DOT guidelines while driving.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
- Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check.
Preferred Requirements
- Valid TWIC Card.
- At least 1 year of route driving experience.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations.
