Brief Description

The Environmental Compliance Technician is responsible for environmental compliance and management of regulated electrical equipment. Confirm unit details match continuation sheet and fix discrepancies. Print and use WHSE reports to confirm that all units are physically in their assigned areas. Report discrepancies to Environmental Compliance Coordinator or Environmental Manager and resolve from unit information found in Syspro. Pull oil samples and decide if unit needs tested and tagged. Load trailers with regulated and non-regulated equipment to deliver for off-site disposal. Identify if units have been evacuated of SF6 gas, follow SOP to ensure unit is properly emptied. Elevate questions to Environmental Compliance Coordinator. Proper use of PPE when processing units and materials. Promptly respond to requests by EH&S Department. Maintain compliance by consulting EH&S Management/SOP with questions regarding unlabeled and untagged equipment.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma, preferred
  • Experience with small hand tools, required
  • Coeoperative attitude towards all internal and external customers
  • Help team members resolve questions and help with the workload
  • A dependable and strong work ethic; works safely
  • Professional language and conduct at all times
