Responsibilities
- Perform site inspections and verify site compliance as required by company guidelines.
- Complete and file permit applications in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist and verify inventory reconciliations and 7-day reports.
- Follow up on inspections and testing to ensure compliance with all required tests.
- Communicate with governmental agencies on inspections or requests for documentation.
- Develop compliance programs in accordance with the petroleum business.
- Coordinate and collaborate with staff and management of each site to ensure compliance.
- Plan, prepare, and develop environmental programs and policies for the company.
- Balance company needs while maintaining compliance with regulatory authorities.
- Assist in preparing reports, documents, and other compliance materials.
- Monitor the waste management program, oversee disposal and treatment activities, and manage safety precautions to avoid hazardous situations.
- Provide technical assistance and training materials to managers and operating staff, updating them on environmental standardization procedures, regulatory requirements, and work hazards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or other relevant subjects like physical science or environmental engineering strongly preferred.
- Operator AB Certified in CT and MA required.
- Knowledge of tank systems and piping systems required.
- Knowledge of Titan or similar programs and tank gauging systems is a plus.
- Sound knowledge of environmental programs and proceedings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with environmental regulating authorities.
- Critical reviewing skills for analysis.
- Ability to develop technical reports on conducted research.
