About the Role
Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises (OTIE) is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Compliance Scientist (Air) to support federal environmental projects in the South West Region (NV, AZ, NM, and others may be considered if relocating). This role focuses on project/task execution as a supporting member of our Compliance Team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining air emission inventories (AEIs) and potential to emit (PTE) for all air emission sources at installations, including permitted and non-permitted units.
- Support clients with applications for new permits, modifications to existing permits, air construction permits, and compliance with new rules and regulations.
- Prepare and submit reports to satisfy specific NESHAP requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual Title V compliance certification packages and semi-annual monitoring reports.
- Perform onsite quarterly Title V audits and annual field verification inspections of the emission inventory.
- Prepare reports for field activities such as field verifications and compliance assessments.
- Submit Tier II and TRI EPCRA Reports to state and local agencies.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and communication (written and oral).
- Comply with OTIE’s quality standards and health and safety policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or other relevant scientific discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in federal environmental compliance.
- 2+ years of working knowledge of Clean Air Act and Title V Compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to pass a DoD background investigation.
- US Citizenship required.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Air Quality environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience with Air Emission Inventories, Air Quality compliance recordkeeping, and permitting.
- 2+ years of experience with the Air Force APIMS system.
- Professional certification (e.g., EPA Method 9, QEP, REM) preferred.
- Working knowledge of Air Force environmental databases (EESOH-MIS, eDASH, STAR, WET) and DoD policies.
Pay
Compensation Range: $80,000 - $95,000 Annually + Benefits (Based on Experience)
