Key Responsibilities
- Lead the growth and expansion of the environmental compliance practice in Massachusetts, with accountability for market penetration, revenue generation, and client development
- Serve as the technical authority and trusted advisor for complex environmental compliance programs, including Hazardous Waste Management, Stormwater Compliance, SPCC, Wastewater Permitting, EPCRA-related compliance activities, including TRI, TURA, and Tier II reporting
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities, expanding services within existing accounts and opening doors with new clients
- Provide strategic regulatory guidance to clients navigating evolving Massachusetts environmental requirements
- Oversee QA/QC of compliance deliverables, ensuring technical excellence and consistent quality as the practice scales
- Build, mentor, and lead a growing compliance team, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and professional growth
- Partner with firm leadership on hiring strategy, succession planning, and long-term practice development
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 10+ years of environmental compliance consulting experience with extensive knowledge of Massachusetts environmental regulations
- Proven seller-doer track record, including measurable success in business development and practice growth
- Strong, established Massachusetts-based client and industry network
- Demonstrated ability to build teams, grow revenue, and lead market expansion efforts
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently while contributing to a collaborative firm culture
- Massachusetts Professional Engineer (PE) license required
