Environmental Compliance Manager
The Environmental Manager will lead and oversee the environmental management practices and compliance of our construction operations, focusing on electrical utilities and construction. This role ensures compliance with environmental regulations, manages environmental aspects of projects, and develops and implements environmental programs.

Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to environmental laws, regulations, and standards at the local, state, and federal levels; function as a principal technical advisor and coordinator for environmental issues.
- Create and execute environmental management programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and address potential environmental risks and areas for improvement; interpret and apply environmental specifications and drawings to minimize adverse effects on the natural environment and local communities.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainable practices, resource conservation, and waste reduction.
- Provide environmental training to employees and stakeholders to foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
- Effectively communicate environmental performance, risks, and initiatives to relevant stakeholders; prepare reports and communicate environmental risks to project management.
- Supervise and lead environmental teams or personnel, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and consultants; attend field visits with clients and regulatory agencies.
- Liaise with clients, providing design information, schedule details, quantities, and ensuring awareness of unanticipated discoveries, critical permitting, and compliance issues.
- Work at various field locations where conditions may vary; maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing environmental compliance for construction projects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with permitting and agency coordination.
- Utility electric construction experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with environmental permitting processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, health, or engineering field (preferred).
Skills
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of environmental science, engineering, and related fields.
- Working knowledge of SWPPP, BMPs, and erosion control measures.
- Solid understanding of relevant federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for reporting, training, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to identify, assess, and resolve environmental issues.
- Effective communication and interaction with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage environmental projects effectively.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive environmental performance.

Pay
Salary range: $100,000–$130,000 per year, paid weekly.
