Responsibilities
- Inspect erosion and sediment control measures and stormwater management systems.
- Monitor contractor compliance with environmental permits and environmental protection requirements.
- Inspect environmental protection measures including sediment basins, silt fences, inlet protection, and temporary stabilization measures.
- Document environmental inspection activities and prepare inspection reports.
- Coincordinate corrective actions with the Resident Engineer.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and approved environmental plans.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in environmental compliance inspection or construction inspection.
- MDOT SHA Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector Certification.
- PREFERRED: Experience inspecting stormwater management facilities.
- PREFERRED: Environmental compliance training related to transportation construction projects.
