About the Role
We are seeking an Environmental Compliance Field Inspector with 3-5 years of experience performing construction site inspections. This role monitors and evaluates construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permit requirements, and project-specific environmental commitments. The ideal candidate has strong technical writing and analytical skills, experience performing construction site inspections, and the ability to interpret environmental specifications and regulatory requirements while working throughout the NY/NJ metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Perform field audits of environmental documentation and field activities
- Provide oversight of construction as it relates to environmental compliance
- Review Construction Work Plans and report regularly on compliance with FEIS/ROD and environmental permitting standards
- Prepare daily activity reports
- Write technical reports and attend on-site meetings
- Interpret scientific data and specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, or a closely related discipline
- 3-5 years of prior experience performing construction site inspections
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout the NY/NJ Metro Area
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience providing environmental inspections in and for NY, NJ, and/or NYC agencies
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (and current refreshers)

Pay
The listed salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 a year. This range represents our good faith estimate for new hire salaries across all U.S. locations and considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate’s education and work experience, training and certifications, key skills, and market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
