About the Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer responsible for project execution and control, and for ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and time schedules from start-up through completion. They are accountable for handling specific technical aspects of projects appropriate to their field of discipline and functioning on multidisciplinary teams as both participants and leaders. They balance work on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of large projects and responses to proposals. They are responsible for implementing quality design control for the designs and projects under their control.
Responsibilities
- Support and execute civil and environmental engineering projects nationwide.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and calculations for execution of general civil project work related to remediation, earthworks and/or stormwater.
- Act as a design leader for single or multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Prepare technical approach, proposed budget, and schedule for new project proposals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Minimum of 4 years of related work experience and the ability to obtain a PE license.
- A PE license with active NCEES record is preferred.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER and current 8-hour refreshers are strongly preferred.
- Skilled in executing design and construction phase work for remediation and general earthworks projects, including the development of drawings, specifications, calculations, review of submittals, and the ability to perform construction quality inspections.
- Ability to effectively lead a single or multi-disciplinary project team through design phases; tracking and ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Strong technical writing skills and experience preparing basis-of-design documents, technical work plans, and technical approach for proposals.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and present engineering concepts, designs, and data.
- Ability to carry out multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to occasionally travel, as needed, for short-term site inspections or site walks.
- Ability to function in outdoor locations such as active construction and/or remediation sites.
- Ability to walk long distances on varied terrain, climb ladders, and work at elevation.
- Ability to receive and deliver detailed information through written and oral communications.
- Ability to function at a high level in a fast-paced work environment.

Pay
Salary Range: $81,549 - $107,791 - $133,824
Schedule
Location: Lincolnshire, IL or West Chester, PA or Austin, TX, or Lakewood, CO. Consideration will be given to applicants able to be present in other Weston offices throughout the country.
