A Day in the Life

As an Analyst I in our Richmond, VA lab, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals. The compensation range for this role is $21.00 to $24.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Schedule: This is an overnight shift (Wednesday - Saturday) from 5:00pm to 3:30 AM with potential to work 3 to 4 twelve hour shifts if needed (6:00pm to 6:00 am).

Requirements

  • The position should be open to work at our off-site laboratory that is within quick driving distance from our Reymet Laboratory.
  • Training period will be M-F 8:30a - 5pm.

Skills

  • Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • 2 years of relevant experience (academic or professional) preferred
  • Preferred Skills: Experience working in a high-paced testing laboratory environment
  • An Analyst I will be able to perform much of their work independently, but needs direction from a Group Leader or more senior analyst to execute most effectively.
  • Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
  • Must be flexible in work schedule (including Saturday) and able to work overtime
  • Well organized and have an attention to detail
  • Good organization and communication skills

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Sitting, standing, and walking
  • Lifting 50 pounds several times a day
  • Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds
  • Works in an office environment
  • May be exposed to hot and cold environments
  • May occasionally work shifts up to 12 hours in duration

Pay and Schedule

  • The compensation range for this role is $21.00 to $24.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.
