About the role
Maintain and collate intra/inter departmental data, prepare monthly PATRAK as per state pollution control board mandate, collect samples from plant as per SOP and submit to lab for analysis, monitor ETP performance parameters daily, coordinate and maintain departmental documentation, liaise with regulatory authorities, prepare applications for approvals, track approval status, prepare annual environment report, maintain legal documents, plan and implement environment protection initiatives, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, organize and manage statutory and regulatory audits, and support managers in identifying talent.
Responsibilities
- Collate and maintain intra/inter department data and prepare monthly PATRAK as per the state pollution control board mandate.
- Collect samples from plant as per SOP and submit to LAB for analyzing the bio-medical-waste, waste of various ETP outlets & hazardous waste for all units of AIL.
- Monitor the ETP and check all performance parameters on a daily basis.
- Coordinate and maintain all documentation pertaining to departmental needs and applications like form water cess, etc.
- Maintain necessary legal documents and reports pertaining to environment protection.
- Liaison with regulatory authorities in order to maintain best environment protection practices.
- Maintain the Environment Management System and prepare reports of company's environmental indices pertaining to levels of emissions.
- Prepare applications for approval by various regulatory authorities like state pollution control board etc. and track the approval status of pending approval applications at regulatory offices.
- Prepare annual environment report for MoEF (Ministry of environment, forest and climate change).
- Verify the bills pertaining to environmental protection expenses.
- Plan & implement environment protection initiatives to reduce the emission and effluent produced in the manufacturing process.
- Inculcate "safety first" behavior in reporting to ensure "zero safety incidents."
- Ensure implementation of elements as per guidelines.
- Ensure standardization of files generated in the system.
- Capture and analyze the relevant data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the systems.
- Support Managers to identify the right talent required as per business needs.
- Attend the planned trainings and understand the subject by asking timely questions.
- Provide shop floor training to the team members.
- Upgrade skill in self and subordinates by adopting new technologies, visiting exhibitions, participating in conferences etc.
- Suggest ideas for improvements and initiatives for better project performance.
- Encourage and motivate team to think and work towards the possibility of improvements in assigned projects/tasks.
- Fulfill all statutory and regulatory requirements and factory compliances related to one's function.
- Organize, conduct and manage the statutory and regulatory audits.

- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
