QED Construction is a civil-engineering and groundworks contractor committed to environmental sustainability. We recycle materials on site, source FSC-certified timber, use low-carbon concretes, and operate a modern fleet with lower-emission engines.

Our Commitment to Environmental Sustainability

At QED we aim to minimise and mitigate the environmental impact of our work through the following practices:

• Recycling and using recycled materials wherever possible, including on-site crushing to reduce transportation and landfill use
• Sourcing pipework made from recycled plastic for drainage and ductwork
• Procuring all timber from FSC-certified suppliers
• Avoiding one-use shuttering systems by employing our own Doka Formwork System for over 15 years
• Using aggregates manufactured from incinerator ash, brick, glass, and ceramics
• Specifying low-carbon concretes where feasible
• Operating plant vehicles with the latest CAT6 diesel engines and modernising our van fleet to further reduce emissions
• Adopting HVO fuel across our operations
