Environ Service Aide - Environmental Services - FT NIGHTS

About the Role

This position involves maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in a hospital or satellite facility by performing various cleaning tasks and supporting housekeeping operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily and restorative cleaning tasks in all patient care and support areas.
• Delivers clean linen as needed.
• Replenishes floor stock and other housekeeping supplies in a cost-effective manner.
• Operates and maintains all cleaning equipment safely and competently.
• Develops familiarity with precautions, use, and disposal methods of all chemicals used in the role.
• Removes and replaces drapes and cubicle curtains as needed.
• Acts in a charge capacity when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions to perform cleaning tasks.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Frequent bending, stooping, stretching, twisting, and turning while performing manual tasks requiring dexterity.
• Frequent lifting of up to 20 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent pushing and pulling of up to 50 lbs and occasional pushing and pulling of up to 100 lbs.
• Tolerance to cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Ability to assess situations, prioritize workload demands, and cope with stressful situations.
• Some exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
