Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with plant management to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations and corporate EHS requirements (SMS/EMS and specific policies).
  • Aid in the development of site EHS plans including budgetary requirements and coordination of plan implementation, monitoring plan status, updating related documents, communicating issues to site management, and reporting plan status on a routine basis.
  • Provide technical EHS support and direction for continuing operations, evaluation of new equipment and processes, contractor services, etc.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and hazards.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing safety standards, procedures, and documentation.
  • OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Comfortable presenting and training large groups of employees.
  • Proficient in MS Office, and able to use computer programs to develop professional training material.
