About the role
The Entry Line Cook is a culinary position at the Hyatt Centric Key West Resort and Spa. This is a production position requiring basic culinary skills or related cooking experience and good communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Total supervision and training from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
- Preparing food for all hotel outlets and banquets
- Shifts are typically 5 days per week, 8 hours shift
- AM and PM training shifts are scheduled to learn from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
- Once training is complete, shifts may include both AM and PM and will vary each week based on resort business, including weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- Good communication skills
- Previous prep cook experience a plus
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of standing for long periods of time
- Capable of performing repetitive duties
- Full-time flexible availability including weekends and holidays required
