Your Impact
The Welder will set up, tack, and perform all types of welding on all gauges of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. You'll use special or general-purpose fixtures—or improvise as required—to produce high-quality work that supports large-scale fabrication and assembly operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Cut, fit, heat, and bend materials to specification
- Perform weld repairs, salvage, and rebuild parts as directed
- Work in various welding positions as required
- Handle parts of varying sizes (crane assistance provided)
- Clean welds to meet quality standards
- Collaborate with team members during assembly of large components
- Utilize complex blueprints, advanced shop mathematics, and handbook formulas
Schedule
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Hours may vary when overtime is available.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1-year welding certificate
Pay
Starting pay: $24.21/hour. Once certified: $30.08/hour.
