About the role
Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, seeks an entry-level Water Resources Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team in San Antonio, TX or Austin, TX. Responsibilities
- Assist project professionals with analysis, design, and technical tasks across multiple water resources projects.
- Seek direction on deadlines and time allotted for completion of tasks.
- Develop an understanding of the effort required and reason for use of differing approaches.
- Participate in peer reviews to ensure quality work.
- Track and complete concurrent tasks while maintaining attention to detail and meeting assigned deadlines.
- Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and ethical practices.
- Stay current in understanding the practice of engineering by completing continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam (or ability to pass in first six months of employment).
- Strong communication skills.
- Eagerness for collaboration in a team setting.
- Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as ArcGIS Pro, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, or EPA SWMM (a plus but not required).
