About the role

The ideal candidate will join Dewberry's Bloomfield or Mount Laurel, NJ office as an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer. This position involves working on water resource projects such as storm water management, water and wastewater engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
  • Participate in waterway floodplain delineations and bridge/culvert hydraulics design
  • Design storm water management systems and drainage networks
  • Manage soil erosion control measures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive project solutions
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations
  • Use MS Office software for project documentation and communication

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources or related field
  • Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles, waterway floodplain delineations, and bridge/culvert hydraulics design
  • 0-1 years of experience, preferably with relevant internships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • Ability to work in a team environment
