Entry Level Underground Miner - Granite Creek

Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate underground haulage equipment, including 30-ton articulated dump trucks
• Operate water trucks and mixer trucks
• Operate and maintain underground support equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, manlifts, and other equipment
• Handle and transport explosives
• Operate dewatering sumps and pumps
• Install and extend air, water, and discharge lines
• Conduct thorough pre-operational inspections on equipment
• Recognize and mitigate hazards
• Participate in risk assessments and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Experience And Qualification Requirements

• Work with a safety-first mindset and maintain situational awareness at all times
• Possess knowledge and understanding of all underground (hard rock) mining equipment applications
• Have experience in operating or using heavy equipment
• Be able to properly care for and maintain all tools and equipment
• Possess exceptional workplace housekeeping habits
• Have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work in year-round weather conditions

Beneficial Skills But Not Required

• Hold a current MSHA Certificate (5000-23) in underground metal/non-metal mining
• Shotcrete application experience
• Construction experience
